There are two very important events that led to the development of microbiology.
1. The discovery that diseases are caused by microorganisms and bacteria completely changed the medical world and led extensive research on the causes and cures of basic diseases.
2. The other important event was the discovery of
Kock Postucles, which led us to alter microorganisms and vaccinate ourselves against deadly diseases.
