You need to cut a 9 foot piece of plywood into 12 inch sections. Every cut also removes 1/8 inch. How many inch sections can you get out of the 9 foot piece of ywood

If there are no gaps you can get 9 pieces. Nut because 1/8" gap you can only get 8 pieces.
