What is the relationship of inertia to the mass of an object?

Inertia: Objects tend to move at the same speed and direction or, if at rest, stay at rest. A force has to be applied to overcome inertia. An objects inertia is determined by the mass of the object. For example, a tank will require more force to start moving than a car because the tank has more mass.
