The eighteenth century was marked by the influence that the Enlightment had in the French revolution in 1789 , the American Revolution (1765-1783), the Haitian Revolution (1791). However, the most significant factor that explains the industrialization is the Industrial Revolution that started in England in the 1770s with the improvement of the steam engine. Steam-powered machinery changed dramatically human society.
