A. x + 1 = 3(y – 5)
B. x – 5 = 3(y + 1)
C. y – 5 = 3(x + 1)

We will use the x and y values from our point (x = -1 and y = 5) along with the given slope of 3 to write the equation in point-slope form. The point-slope form is
y- y_(1) =m(x- x_(1)) where x1 and y1 are the coordinates from the point. Filling in accordingly, y - 5 = 3(x - (-1)) and y - 5 = 3(x + 1), choice C from above.
