Teddy Roosevelt did a lot in terms of national parks and forests to help preserve them. This is interesting. i also know about the panama canal and the connection of the Atlantic to pacific ocean. Abraham Lincoln and the 13th amendment getting rid of slavery as well! I like Abraham for his ambition and the way he helped get rid of slavery. He also was a man that correctly handled crisis's, and was overall a smart good man. There was the emancipation proclamation as well! He defeated the confederacy basically, and wanted to help people. There was also the Gettysburg address, he helped change the world. He wanted people to work together, like the union, and fought to end the unfair and horrible treatment of African Americans. The president before 1940 I specifically like is him, Abraham Lincoln.
