Poe's use of many verbs ending in "ing" in the last stanza of "The Raven" has what effect on the poem?

A. It slows down the poem, bringing it to a close.
B. It makes all of the words rhyme, making the reader trip over what's being said.
C. It makes the theme of the poem clear.
D. It speeds up the rhythm, adding more intensity.
I think it's B, but I would like a second opinion.

Answer:

D. It speeds up the rhythm, adding more intensity.

Step-by-step explanation:

In "The Raven" Allan Poe uses verbs ending on ing to speed up the rhythm of the poem and make it "And the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting" he starts with these lines the last stanza of the poem and it gives the poem a more quick rhythm as you can see, the reading speeds up and it feels faster, so this adds intensity to the final of the poem.
