Angiosperm male gametophytes have two haploid nuclei (the germ nucleusand tube nucleus) contained within the exine of the pollen grain (or microspore). Female gametophytes of flowering plants develop within theovule (megaspore) contained within anovary at the base of the pistil of the flower.
