y = a {(x - h)}^(2) + k
The vertex of the parabola is at (0,-4), and the graph is stretched upwards by a factor of +3.
Therefore, the new vector form equation is

y = 3 {x}^(2) - 4

Remember that to evaluate a graph when you have options you just ahve to calculate the Y and x intersect, so the grap will intersect with the Y axis when x=0, evaluate Y=3x^2-4 when x=0

y=3(0)^2-4

y=-4

So the graph will touch y when it is at -4. That makes this ecuation the correct for the graph given.

Remember too that when the sign of x is negative the grph grows downward, since this is growing upward the sign of X should be positive.
