Plug in x = 0 and compute
f(x) = (x-8)*(x+3)
f(0) = (0-8)*(0+3)
f(0) = (-8)*(3)
f(0) = -24

When x = 0, y or f(x) is equal to -24

So the values pair up to get the answer (0,-24)
