Hey!


To solve this problem, we'd have to multiply both sides by 3. So your new problem would look something like this...

Original Equation :

(x)/(3) = 12

New Equation :

(3x)/(3) = 12 ·
3

Then you'd simply solve, or simplify to get your answer.

Solution {New Equation Solved} :

x=36

So, to answer your question, you'd have to multiply both sides by 3. The solution to this problem is x = 36.
