Answer: (1,2)

Explanation:

The given system of linear equations :-

8x+4y=16 \\7y=15-x which can be written as ,

2x+y=4..........(1) \text{[Divide both sides by 2]}\\7y+x=15................(2)\text{[Add x on both sides]}

Now, Multiply 2 on both sides of equation (2), we get

14y+2x=30.........(3)

Subtract equation (1) from equation (3) , we get

13y=26\\\\\Rightarrow\ y=2

Put y= 2 in (1), we get

2x+2=4\\\\\Rightarrow\ 2x=2\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=1

Hence, the solution to the given system is (1,2).
