What is the slope of the line that passes through (3,-7) and (-1,1)

y1 - y2 divided by x1 - x2

Slope = -2

Slope is rise (change in y) over run (change in x) so:
(-7 - 1)/(-1 - 3) = -8/-4=2
The slope is 2
