You use the midpoint formula, which is:
M =
( ( x_(1)+ x_(2) )/(2) , (y _(1) +y_2)/(2) )
Therefore, you just plug the points in.
((-2+-6)/2),((-6+8)/2)
This gives the midpoint (-4,1)
