(simplify the equation)
(subrtact both sides by 14)
(multiply both sides by 6)

Hey there! :)
x/6 + 14 = 18
Switch the equation around:
18 - 14 = x/6
(The sign changes when moved to the other side)
18 - 14 = 4
4 = x/6
Switch the equation around(AGAIN):
4 × 6 = x
4 × 6 = 24
24 = x
