a) 2x - 3y = 6
2(6) - 3(2) = 6
12 - 6 = 6
6 = 6
Therefore, (6,2) is a solution to 2x - 3y = 6.

b) 2x - 3y = 6
2(3) - 3(-2) = 6
6 + 6 = 6
12 ≠ 6
Therefore, (3,-2) is not a solution to
2x - 3y = 6.
