The first thing you would do is switch the x and y (B).
For example, to find the inverse of y = 2x + 8:
1. Swap x and y
x = 2y + 8
2. Solve for y (set the equation equal to it):
x - 8 = 2y
y = (x - 8) ÷ 2
= 1/2x - 4
