3y -2 +2 > 5+2
3y > 7
y > 7/3

Hi!

Remember that whatever we do to this equation, we have to do it to both sides.

We have to isolate x on one side.
3y - 2 > 5
Add 2 to both sides
3y - 2 + 2 > 5 + 2
3y > 7
Divide by 3 on both sides
y >
(7)/(3)

^ the answer
