Perimeter = (2 * length) + (2 * width)

Perimeter = 22 meters
Length = 2w + 2
Width = w

Now plug in your given information and solve.

2(2w + 2) + 2(w) = 22
4w + 4 + 2w = 22
6w + 4 = 22
6w = 22 - 4
6w = 18
w = 18 / 6
w = 3

Your width is 3 meters.

Length = 2w + 2
2(3) + 2
6 + 2
8

Your length is 8 meters.
