To find the rise over run, you need to pick a point that intersects one of the axises. Then, you need to find a point that intersects the other axis. Third, you find the first point and begin moving up or down until you reach the height of the other point. From there, you count along that height line until you reach the second point. The number from counting on the y axis is the rise and the number from counting on the x axis is the run. So, you take the rise and put it over the run.
