The molecular formula of a compound with molar mass of 44.01 g/mol and empirical formula of CO2 is

First calculate the empirical formula mass

then divide the molecular formula mass with empirical formula mass

that is 44 g/molĂ· 44 g/mol =1

then multiply each subscript in empirical formula with 1 (answer in step 2)
