the correct question is
Suppose that y varies inversely with x, and y = 5 when x = 6. What is an equation for the inverse variation?

we know that
A variation inversely is a relationship between two variables in which the product is a constant
if
y varies inversely with x, the equation is of the form
y=k/x or y*x=k
where k is the constant of variation

step 1
find the value of the constant K
for x=6 y=5
y=k/x-----> solve for k
k=y*x-----> k=5*6-----> k=30

the equation is
y=30/x
