You are in the lab and notice another student applying cosmetics, why is this dangerous and not allowed in a lab? Cosmetics can pick up gases in the lab and those can infect the eyes and mouth. Cosmetics contain harmful substances and can contaminate the experiment Cosmetics are tested before they are put on the market so they should not harm the person. As long as the student is wearing gloves there is no harm in applying cosmetics in the lab.

Answer: Cosmetics can pick up gases in the lab and those can infect the eyes and mouth.

Step-by-step explanation:

A biology or chemical lab involves the use of chemicals which can be used to conduct the experiment. These chemicals are harmful if inhaled, touch with skin and can burn the cloths. Thus appropriate measures should be taken to prevent harm.

Cosmetics are products that consists of the chemical substances which are used for the purpose of make up, moisturizing and beautify the skin. The chemicals present in the cosmetics can react with the gases in the experiment, thus may cause burn and injury to the student.
