12 gallons = 17.64$
Therefore 1 gallon must equal 17.64 divided by 12
In conclusion 1 gallon = 1.47$

$17.64
for
12 gallons
1 gallon = 17.64
÷ 12
17.64
÷ 12 = 1.47
The price for 1 gallon is $1.47
