We can see that Lugard believes that European nations are more civilized and that the imperialism nations need a "helping" hand to guide them into living a more civilized life. He is so strong in his beliefs that he thinks the great efforts of imperialism will be praised in the coming future. Yet we all know that the harsh truth of Imperialism involved, labor, and theft.
