Legal prohibition of music and lyrics that promote hate is not likely in the United States because of the "protection of free speech via the First Amendment."
The First Amendment to the United States Constitution keeps Congress from making any law regarding a foundation of religion, restricting the free exercise of religion, or condensing the right to speak freely, the opportunity of the press, the privilege to quietly amass, or to request of for an administrative change of grievances. It was received on December 15, 1791, as one of the ten changes that constitute the Bill of Rights.
