"Given that it is for part-time work" is an important phrase here. It means that whichever job opening that was picked, it was for part time work. I recommend covering up or crossing off the "full time" column entirely to avoid confusion.

There are 6+8 = 14 part time positions. Of these, 6 of them require experience

Divide: 6/14 = 0.42857 = 42.857% which is approximate
This rounds to 42.9%

Answer: 42.9%

The probability that experience is needed for a part time job is 24%.

According to the chart there are 6 part time jobs that require experience. There are a total of 25 job openings. You can then set up the problem by using the fraction
(6)/(25).

(6)/(25) as a decimal is 0.24. You can make this a percent by moving the decimal point two places to the right. So 0.24 becomes 24%.

I hope this was helpful.
