A local sports store is selling its hiking socks for $2 off the regular price of a pair of socks. You buy 3 pairs of hiking socks. Write an equation that gives the total cost t as a function of the regular cost r of a pair of socks. Then find the total cost if the socks regularly cost $10 per pair.

Equation:-
---------------
Total cost t =( r-$2)×3

Regular price r = (t+$2)/3

Total cost at last with the $10 per pair:-
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Total cost if one pair is $10
=$10-$2=$8(hiking socks per pair price)
=$8×3=$24(3 pairs of hiking socks price)

Regular price r = (t+$2)/3

Total cost if one pair is $10
=$10-$2=$8(hiking socks per pair price)
=$8×3=$24(3 pairs of hiking socks price)
