For this case, the first thing to do is find the scale factor.
We have then:

k = (A'B')/(AB)
Substituting values we have:

k = (24)/(4)
Rewriting:

k = 6
Then, we apply the scale factor to find the length of B'C '.
We have then:

B'C '= k * BC
Substituting values:

B'C '= 6 * 3 B'C '= 18
Answer:
the length of segment B'C 'is:
B'C '= 18 in
