Russia pushed from the east while the Americans were slowly but surely closing in on the Nazi controlled Germany from the west and the Russians headed straight for Berlin and it was pretty much a clear path for the Russians while the Americans had rivers, mountains and hills they had to get through, so when the Russians got to Berlin that’s when the last and final battle of the 3rd Reich took place but too answer your question the battle of Berlin took place on Apr 16, 1945 till May 2, 1945 And well you know the rest because it’s apart of our history! Hope this helped you, I’m really big into all the wars so stay on the lookout for me. Best of luck -Reaper
