Chad recently launched a new website. In the past six days, he has recorded the following number of daily hits:

37, 29, 37, 56, 45, 38.

He is hoping at week’s end to have an average of 40 hits per day. To achieve this, how many hits must he have on the final day of the week? Explain how you got your answer.

If Chad wants an average of 40 hits he will need to have a total of 38 hits the final week. I got this by adding all the values and plugging the last day in for x so you will get
37+29+37+56+45+38+x then divide it by 7 and it should equal 40.
