Find the length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle whose leg lengths are 3 and square root 2:
Use the Pythagorean Theorem here. Square 3 and square [sqrt(2)], and then find the sqrt of the sum: 9 + 2 = 11.
The hyp. length is then +sqrt(11).

Square root of 11 is the answer
2 + 3^2 = c^2
2 + 9 = c^2
11 = c^2
