The x-intercept is found when y = 0.
Plug in 0 for y:
The x-intercept is (36,0).
The y-intercept is found when x = 0.
Plug in 0 for x:
Divide both sides by 4 to get y by itself:
The y-intercept is (0,9).

x + 4y = 36
To find the x intercept, plug in 0 for y and solve for x.
x + 4(0) = 36
x = 36
The x intercept is (36, 0).
To find the y intercept, plug in 0 for x and solve for y.
0 + 4y = 36
Divide both sides by 4.
y = 9
The y intercept is (0, 9).
