What is the equation in point slope form of the line that passes through the point (-1, -4) and has a slope of -3

Answer:

y+4=-3(x+1)

Explanation:

point slope form = y-y1=m(x-x1)

so plug in the numbers

y - -4 = -3 (x - - 1)

if there are two negatives it becomes a positive so your final answer is y + 4 = -3 (x +1)
