5. When a company first started it had 85 employees. It was decided to increase the number of employees by 10 at the beginning of each year. PLS ASAP!!

Explanation:

The total of employees at any given year is y

x is the number of year

then y = 85 + 10x

a. 2nd year: y = 85 + 10(2) = 85 + 20 = 105

3rd year: y = 85 + 10(3) = 85 + 30 = 115

b. 10th year: y = 85 + 10(10) = 85 + 100 = 185

c: if y = 285

285 = 85 + 10x

10x = 285 - 85

10x = 200

x = 20
