$q +log_(2)6 = 2q +2 \\ \\ log_(2)6 = q +2 \\ \\ (ln6)/(ln2) =q+2 \\ \\q= (ln6)/(ln2) - 2 \\ \\ q=0.5850 (approximately)$

Subtract q+2 from both sides of the equation and you get
log2(6) -2 = q
q ≈ 0.5849625
