The number of people that are on the board of nursing (BRN) are 9 members; 4 members represent the public, 2 are registered nurses, 1 is an advanced practice nurse, 1 is a nurse educator or administrator, 1 is a nurse that is an administrator. All need to have done this for 5 continuous years. The governor will appoint two public members and the licensed members of the board. The senate committee of rules and speaker of the house will also post one public member.
