The correct answer is C. Similar land boundaries. During this war the US, seeing that the UK was roughly dealing with France, tried to invade the east coast of the British colonies in Canada. The reason that the US had for carrying such invansion out, was that these lands were culturally and economicly similar to the US. At the end of 1812 war, although both Nations had gained different lands, signed the Treaty of Ghent, reaching peace and stablishing the boundaries just as they were before starting the war. Neither the US, nor the UK consider themselves to have won the war, however Canada does, this because this country considers that the final outcome made the US did not get lands and these kept Canadian.
