Hey there! :)

First, find the area of the circle. 2 halves make 1 circle

Formula for area of a circle = π · r²

Remember that the diameter is 2x the radius. To find radius when given diameter, divide by 2 to get r

d = 8
8 ÷ 2 = 4

r = 4

4² = 4 × 4 = 16
16 × 3.14 = 50.24

Now, find the area of the rectangle

Area of rectangle = l × w

l = 22
w = 8

22 × 8 = 176

Now, add

176 + 50.24 = 226.24

The area is 226.24 ft²

Hope this helps :)
