The focus of the ratification debate was about the increasing power of the Central government over the states. Two factions arise because of this debate one supporting the ratification of the constitution are known as federalists and the opposing it are called anti-federalist. The most important thing about it is the national debate which engage the whole nation to talk about its merits and demerits.
