Try them and see.

For the first:
3(-3) + 0 = -9 . . . . not > -8
3(-2) + (-1) = -7 . . . is > -8 . . . . . 2) (-2, -1) is a solution

For the second:
4 - 4(-2) = 12 . . . . not ≤ -6
-2 -4(1) = -6 . . . . . is ≤ -6 . . . . . . 2. (1, -2) is a solution
