Hi there!

• f(x) =
\frac {7x - 9}{x - 5}

• Then,
To find th' value of f(2). Substitute " 2 " in place of " x "

f(2) =
\frac {7 × 2 - 9}{2 - 5}

f(2) =
\frac {14 - 9}{-3}

f(2) =
\frac {5}{-3}

f(2) = -
\frac {5}{3}

Hence, f(2) = -
\frac {5}{3}

~ Hope it helps!

We presume you intend

f(x)=(7x-9)/(x-5)
and you want to evaluate f(2).

Put 2 where x is, everywhere.

f(2)=(7\cdot 2-9)/(2-5)=(5)/(-3)=-(5)/(3)
