I meant 3 and 3 quarters add 1 and 1 fifth equals...
Next time, type something like this: Add 3 and 3 quarters to 1 and 1 fifth"

3 3/4 + 1 1/5

Method 1: convert these mixed numbers into decimal fractions:
3.75+1.20 = 4.95, or 4 95/100, or 4 19/20.

Method 2: Recognize that the LCD is (4)(5) = 20 and convert both 3/4 and 1/5 to fractions with denominator 20:

3 3/4 + 1 1/5 = 3 15/20 + 1 4/20 = 4 19/20 (answer).
