functional magnetic resonance imaging
This is a method that measures blood activity by detecting changes associated with brain flow. It is also known as functional MRI.
The concept behind this measurement method is the understanding that blood flow and neuronal activities are correlated. The method has dominated the domain of nervous system study because it does not involve any form of surgery,nor ingesting of any substances.
