Compared to prototypical, dissociatives hallucinogens have stronger effects of Dulled senses, sedation and sense of self.
Phencyclidine causes delusion, anxiety, feelings of detachment and hallucinations. It is addictive and causes vomiting, violent behavior, seizures, coma, and constipation.
Hallucinogens can be divided into two groups which are;
1. prototypical hallucinogens.
2. Dissociatives hallucinogens.
Prototypical is taken for hallucinogenic properties. Their effects can last for hours. For example, LSD is derived from a fungus which grows on grains like RYE.
LSD increases heart rate and body temperature and it can cause sleeplessness, loss of appetites and sweating.
