Why didn't Germans talk about the Holocaust immediately after the war? two sentences.

Germany was embarrassed and ashamed that they were caught in the horrid acts were doing on their victims. They didn’t want to talk about it because they didn’t want to admit that they saw and did horrible things to regular-life people such as: gassing them, starving them, torturing them, experimenting on them, and treating them as slaves and prisoners.

They did not speak of the Holocaust because everyone who lived in Germany at the time knew what exactly was happening to those people. It would be impossible for someone to admit they sat back and watched millions get slaughtered, and not one person stood up against it.
