You have to multiply the exponents...
10*10*10*10*10*10*10*10 = 100000000
1.45 * 100000000 = 145000000


10*10*10*10*10*10*10 = 10000000

3.9 * 10000000 = 39000000

145000000 + 39000000 = 184000000
