Everyone was trying to rebuild their countries especially Germany, who was also trying to pay off a massive debt to the allied side. Trade was struggling as there was still a lot of tension over the Treaty of Versailles. This lead to German money becoming practically worthless and as the countries tried to recover many banks crashed. This lead to the Great Depression.
