A multi-movement form is Sonata Allegro form.
Sonata Allegro form is composed of 4 movement:
Mv 1: Exposition: the composer is showing the what will be prevailing themes and motifs.
Mv 2/3: Development: themes and motifs are being developed and there are more modifications of a motif, for instance motif A, A1, A2.
Mv 4: Recapitulation: return to the tonic key. Major prevailing themes and motifs are repeated and there is a close to the piece.
