The scientific knowledge is constantly growing. The main advantage of the scientific method is that nothing is absolutely true and unquestionable.
With each new hypothesis and experiment, scientists get a little bit closer to the truth about the natural world. Some parts of the scientific knowledge stand through time and new experiments only confirm them. But often, the new research finds new aspects or disproves parts of the previous finds, so the understanding of that phenomenon changes.
